In our efforts to help promote bluegrass music we started having concerts at Dysart High School in El Mirage. We had two concerts with the Cherryholmes Family and one with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, then they started major construction at Dysart High School which made it impossible to have the concerts there. We finally found the Westview High School Performing Arts Center located in Avondale at 10850 West Garden Lakes Parkway (107th Ave. & Indian School Rd.). Since moving the concerts there we have had Lost Highway, The James King Band, Dry Heat, The Back Porch Bandits, The Cherryholmes Family, and Harmony Breeze. In the 2004-2005 season we hope to have Lost Highway, The James King Band, Sons & Brothers,The Cherryholmes Family, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage and Just N Time. 10850 W. Garden Lakes Parkway, 7 pm Concert with Flinthill Special & Just N Time. Flinthill Special is a regional band based out of northern Arizona, playing some great hard driving traditional Bluegrass. This band is always a favorite at the festivals!! (What a great show we had, thanks to everybody for attending and hope to see you at future concerts!!)
